HL Deb 18 April 1991 vol 527 c93WA
Lord Brougham and Vaux

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have yet received the advice commissioned from Arup Associates on possible remedial work on government offices at 2 Marsham Street.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of the Environment (Baroness Blatch):

Arup Associates have now provided their advice on possible remedial work on government offices at 2 Marsham Street. The report now needs to be studied in relation to the accommodation requirements of the two departments which currently occupy the building and in the context of overall future demand for government offices in Central London. Until this further work has been carried out, it would not be sensible to attempt to take investment decisions in respect of the building at 2 Marsham Street alone.
