§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyI refer my hon. Friend to the reply my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister gave my hon. Friend the Member for Bolton, North-East (Mr. Thurnham) on 26 March at columns763–64. A team of Home Office and Department of Health officials visited Bucharest in November 1990 to discuss further how to co-ordinate help and facilitate procedures for British couples who wish to adopt Romanian children. We continue to be in regular contact with the Romanian authorities.
