HC Deb 15 April 1991 vol 189 c100W
Mr. Morgan

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security what proposals he has to alter the disposition of offices for(a) the payment and (b) the processing of social security benefit claims in Cardiff.

Miss Widdecombe

The management team for the new Cardiff district has now been appointed and one of its main priorities is to look at ways to provide the best possible service to its customers. This will include considering a variety of options for organising work and paying benefits within the district. There will be the widest possible consultation with Members of Parliament, and with local statutory and voluntary organisations. Members of Parliament will, therefore, be kept consulted over any proposed changes affecting their constituency.
