HL Deb 15 April 1991 vol 527 cc80-1WA
Lord Molloy

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will make representations to the European Federation of Veterinarians to secure seats on the board for representatives of the British Veterinary Association.

The Minister of State, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Baroness Trumpington):

The Government. do not intend to make such an approach. It is the responsibility of that association to make whatever approaches it considers necessary. I understand that Mr. F. J. 0. Anthony, who is Junior Vice-President of the British Veterinary Association, has recently been elected a Vice-President of the Federation of Veterinarians in Europe.
