§ Mr. Peter LloydI understand from the chief constable of Dorset that the additional costs of policing the 1990 Conservative party conference in Bournemouth were estimated at £2 million. The additional costs of policing will be met by the Dorset police authority. Under the normal police funding arrangements, the Government contribute both directly through police grant—which is at 51 per cent.—and indirectly through revenue support grant.
