§ Mr. David MarshallTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he has any plans to amend the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 in respect of applications for tariff increases for the taxi trade where emergency situations affect the price of fuel.
§ Mr. LangThe 1982 Act already allows for adjustment of taxi fare scales. As part of the current review of the Act we shall be considering whether, in exceptional circumstances, more accelerated procedures for fare adjustment are needed.
