§ Mrs. RumboldThe information requested, based on figures for the 1990 electorate, is given in the tables. The tables illustrate two different ways in which equal standards of parliamentary representation throughout the United Kingdom might be achieved, by the introduction of a single electoral quota for the United Kingdom. Table 1 is based on a total of 650 seats; table 2 is based on a total of 799 seats, maintaining the present number of seats in Scotland.
