§ Mr. Michael ForsythThe Education Authority Bursaries (Scotland) Regulations 1988 prescribe the conditions subject to which bursaries may be provided by education authorities. Authorities have discretion whether or not to offer bursaries to individuals resident in their areas and to regulate the value of bursaries. Bursary awards may vary according to the particular circumstances of the individual and to the level of support which the education authority is prepared to provide. Information on monetary values of bursary awards is not available centrally.
