To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he will publish in theOfficial Report the proportion of applications to the discretionary fund which were successful, partially successful and unsuccessful for each category of award—CCG, BL, CL—and by those aged (a) under 18, (b) 18 and over but under 25, (c) 25 and over but under 60 and (d) 60 years and over for each of the first two complete years of the fund's operation.

The tables show the proportion of applications that were successful and unsuccessful in 1988–89 and 1989–90.

Information on partially successful applications is not separately available, and such cases are included in the successful category. Information is not available on separate age groups under the age of 60 years.
