HC Deb 22 October 1990 vol 178 c49W
Mr. Flynn

To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will make a statement on the outcome of the meeting of the governing trade and development board of the United Nations conference on trade and development held in Geneva in early October, in so far as it affects United Kingdom trade policy.

Mr. Sainsbury

The first part of the 37th UNCTAD trade and development board took place from 1 to 12 October 1990. Agreement was reached on the agenda for the eighth United Nations conference on trade and development to be held in 1991, where discussion will cover international trade, commodities, technology and services, and resources for development, taking into account the need to promote economic growth and adopt good management and structural reform.
