§ Mr. MellorThe Arts Council published a consultative list setting out the allocation of future funding responsibilities between itself and the regional arts boards at the end of September. This is based on the principles endorsed by my predecessor, my right hon. Friend the Member for Shoreham (Mr. Luce), which I have since further confirmed. The period of consultation expires at the end of November. Final decisions will be taken as soon as possible thereafter.
