§ Mr. McLoughlinThe Department wrote on 3 August 1990 to interested bodies in the ports industry and organisations representing the police seeking their views about the future of harbour authorities' powers to operate private police forces. They were invited to reply by 1 December. A copy of the consultation letter was sent to my hon. Friend; copies are being placed in the Library.
