§ 13. Mr. HindTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport what progress there has been on plans to build the Manchester metro-link.
§ Mr. McLoughlinAgreement to this important project was given by the Government last year with approximately £50 million of grant and additional revenue support will be given. The track bed has been laid in a number of streets in central Manchester, and we look forward to seeing services begin late next year.
