§ Mr. McLoughlinPolicy on any proposals which the European Commission might bring forward to eliminate duty-free sales would, of course, be a matter for my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer. We are considering very carefully the evidence that has been, and continues to be, put forward by the United Kingdom industry on the effects of abolition.
