§ Mrs. ChalkerWe pledged 10,000 tonnes of food aid, plus £3.5 million of other relief assistance, in response to the emergency appeal in April of this year. A further £3 million has since been pledged through the UNHCR for Mozambican refugees in neighbouring countries. We are in touch with the Mozambican authorities and interested non-governmental organisations and will continue to watch developments closely.
