To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland when he expects the report of the Scottish housing conditions survey to be published; and if he will arrange for all data collected during the survey to be made publicly available.

I refer to my answer today to the hon. Member for Cumbernauld and Kilsyth (Mr. Hogg).

The remit for the survey agreed by the Scottish Development Department and Scottish Homes provides that, following publication of the report, survey data in a form to be agreed will be made available to bona fide research institutes and other bodies including local authorities.
