§ Mr. Archie HamiltonAs at 30 June 1990, the latest date for which figures are available, 1,576 MOD-owned dwellings were vacant in Scotland, of which seven were in Glasgow and 388 were in the Strathclyde region. Many of these properties were either undergoing or awaiting major 779W maintenance work or modernisation, some were already allotted to service families who were due to move in shortly and others were in the process of disposal. A breakdown according to the number of bedrooms could be obtained only with disproportionate effort.
