Friend the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs met the Romanian Foreign Minister in New York on 1 October and has no further plans to meet him in the near future. However, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office is organising and partly funding a visit to Romania by Department of Health and Home Office officials to discuss how the situation can be improved.
