Friend the Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary is making clear during his present visit to Egypt, Israel and the Occupied Territories our strong support for new efforts to relaunch the middle east peace process, once the Gulf crisis is over. The recent killings in Jerusalem have tragically underlined the need to find a just and lasting solution which combines Palestinian self-determination and secure borders for the state of Israel.
