§ Mr. DunnachieTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if his Department has considered research conducted by the Scottish Council of Voluntary Organisations into the effects of recent legislation on availability of funding for voluntary organisations involved in community care; and if he will consider a review of funding provision and collaborative arrangements.
§ Mr. Michael ForsythMy right hon. and learned Friend will reach conclusions on the report, which was funded by the Scottish Office, in the light of discussions which are due to be held shortly between officials and the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations. The provision of grant assistance to voluntary organisations in the social work field is reviewed annually. The funding of services in the community care field in 1991–92 will receive careful consideration in this context.
