§ Mr. LeighThis is essentially an operational matter for the Post Office and the Department of Transport. The location of outlets issuing motor vehicle licences—MVLs—is determined by the Post Office, within the number set 425W by the Department of Transport, and is, I understand, based on such factors as the distance to existing MVL issuing offices and the likely level of business. The size of the MVL issuing network is the result of regular review by the Department of Transport, taking into account convenience to the customer and cost to the taxpayer.
