What was the average Home Office grant per place towards the cost of voluntary after-care hostels for offenders in 1988–89, 1989–90 and in the current financial year respectively.

The average Home Office grant per place was £1,096 in 1988–89 and £1,206 in 1989–90. The provisional figure for 1990–91 is £1,336.
