§ Mr. EggarWe have received large numbers of inquiries about becoming grant-maintained from primary schools. Since the announcement on 10 October that all primary schools would be able to apply for GM status, more than 40,000 copies of our explanatory leaflet for parents have been requested by schools. The majority of these requests have come from primary schools.
