§ Mr. DorrellYes. It would be an offence under section 8 of the Census Act 1920 for anyone employed on the census to pass personal information from the completed census returns to community charge registration officers, or anyone else outside the census offices, and any breach of confidence in this respect would also be treated as a serious disciplinary offence.
