§ Dr. MawhinneyInformation on capital funding to housing associations in Northern Ireland is not available on a basis which distinguishes between new build and rehabilitation. However, it is estimated that in 1989–90 expenditure by housing associations on new build for rent was some £19 million out of a total of over £29 million.
