§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyThis initiative has been very successful. The number of patients wating over one year in the 43 lists studied by John Yates's team last year has virtually been halved. Early results from this year's study of 100 long lists are very encouraging—numbers waiting over one year have already reduced by a quarter, and further reductions are expected by the end of March 1991.
