§ Mr. Archie HamiltonWhile my Department pays compensation where it is legally liable to do so, it cannot generally be held responsible for the acts of persons unlawfully present on the Department's property. However, the Department, exceptionally, considers small value claims from its employees for damage to personal property sustained on the Department's premises on an ex-gratia basis.
