Virtually all of the substantial number of letters received on this subject are concerned with the environmental impact of satellite dishes erected under permitted development rights (for which a specific planning application is unnecessary). The consultation, earlier this year, over proposed changes to the permitted development rights for satellite dishes produced nearly 600 responses.
