§ Mr. Douglas HoggIt was not until approximately 0300 GMT (0600 Kuwait local time) on 2 August that we had clear evidence of a full-scale Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. This was approximately one hour after the closure of Kuwait airport. The news became public at about 0400 GMT (0700 Kuwait time).
