§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonThe feasibility study was received from the Scottish Development Department's consulting engineers in October 1990 which was several months later than had earlier been anticipated. It is now the subject of ongoing discussions with regional and district councils and other affected parties and it is expected that a decision will be made on the preferred route soon. Following this, draft orders will be published early next year with a public exhibition being held at that time to explain the proposals in detail.
