§ Mr. BaldryVectis Energy Systems has recently suggested to my Department that the criteria by which Nuclear Electric plc was able to contract within the non-fossil fuel obligation were less demanding than those applied to renewables operators seeking to contract within76W the obligation. However, I can assure the hon. Member that the Secretary of State took all relevant matters into account before certifying the contracts between the 12 regional electricity companies and Nuclear Electric plc as meeting the requirements of the legislation.
