Friend the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs has explained to the German and Italian Foreign Ministers our view that the proposal for Mr. Brandt and other European politicians to visit Iraq under United Nations auspices would be contrary to the conclusions reached in Rome at the European Council.
