§ Mr. WakehamThe committee met on 17 October. Its aims are to raise the profile of energy efficiency, to encourage an energy efficient lifestyle at home, at work and in travel and to set an example in the public sector. The committee has published the first annual report of the campaign to improve energy efficiency on the Government estate and all Ministers have agreed to promote energy efficiency in their many contacts with local authorities, industry and commerce. The committee will provide a forum for bringing to people's attention both the steps Government are taking and the steps they themselves can take to improve energy efficiency.
