§ Mr. ChopeContracts for the maintenance of the Department's motorways and trunk roads are let under standard terms and conditions. Where practicable, night and weekend working are adopted to reduce traffic disruption, and bonus incentives and charges for late completion are used to ensure that work is completed in the shortest possible time.
