§ Mr. Peter LloydWe frequently receive representations on aspects of our policy towards refugees and asylum seekers from hon. Members, interested organisations and the public. That policy is rooted in our obligations under the 1951 United Nations convention relating to the status of refugees and our general determination to maintain firm and fair immigration control.
