§ Mr. MellorThe Registrar of Public Lending Right cannot calculate payments to authors for this year until Parliament has approved the necessary rate per loan. The fund currently stands at £3.5 million. My predecessor announced increases of £1 million for 1991–92 and £0.25 million for 1992–93, subject to parliamentary approval.
§ Mr. MaclennanTo ask the Minister for the Arts if he will list in theOfficial Report the figures for the number of loans and size of the public lending right funds on which the public lending right registrar has set the rate per loan for eligible loans from public libraries under the public lending right scheme for the years 1988–89, 1989–90 and 1990–91.
