To ask the Secretary of State for Wales, pursuant to his reply of 1 December 1989,Official Report, column 449, if, on the same basis, he will publish how much money was raised in 1988–89 in prescription charges in Wales; and to what specific purpose this money, credited to class XVII, vote 7, was put.

Prescription charges, including receipts from the sale of pre-payment certificates, raised £10.7 million in subjects for which they have (a) no degree qualification, (b) no A-level qualification and (c) no O-level qualification.

A secondary school staffing survey was conducted in Wales in February 1989 and the results published in the "Welsh Education Statistics Bulletin No. 7", in July 1990.
