Dr. Thomas

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence whether his Department has arranged for a control of substances hazardous to health assessment to be made at the former chemical defence establishment at Nancekuke.

Mr. Kenneth Carlisle

We do not see a need for such an assessment. I refer the hon. Member to my reply to the hon. Member for Newham, North-West (Mr. Banks) on 17 October 1990 at column855.
