§ Mr. CurryInformation on production, trade and self-sufficiency for the main basic food commodities produced in the United Kingdom is contained in section 5 of "Agriculture in the United Kingdom": the 1989 edition is available in the Library of the House. The United Kingdom also imports a wide range of tropical and other non-indigenous agricultural products as well as supplies of specialist varieties and out-of-season indigenous type foodstuffs demanded by consumers.
