HC Deb 01 November 1990 vol 178 c774W
Mr. Nigel Griffiths

To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will list the offences which may be committed by companies relating to the protection of consumers or the general public, in each case specifying the notices which may be served on companies which fail to comply with statutory provisions.

Mr. Redwood

A large number of Acts impose obligations on companies and others for the protection of consumer or the general public. The information is not readily available in the form requested and could not be provided without disproportionate expense.
