§ Mr. CopeAll police operations in the Province are the responsibility of the Chief Constable of the Royal Ulster Constabulary and he has informed us that nine members of the Ulster Defence Regiment were charged with 11 firearms offences. I know of no apology issued to those who were not charged.

§ Mr. CopeI understand that 25 members of the Ulster Defence Regiment were arrested on 8 October 1990 and a further three on 9 October. Deputy Chief Constable Stevens issued a statement on 8 October and a further one on 13 October.
