§ Mr. DorrellNo decision was taken about global nutrition guidelines at the recent WHO (World Health Assembly) meeting in Geneva. We are aware that the WHO has this matter under consideration but no guidelines have yet been prepared. The Department of Health takes the lead in matters connected with the WHO and will be involved in any discussion on this topic. Our policy on nutritional guidelines is based upon advice from the Committee on the Medical Aspects of Food Policy and at present relates only to the United Kingdom.
