To ask the Secretary of State for Employment how much of the total expenditure on the action for jobs campaign in 1987–88 was spent on(a) press advertising, (b) radio advertising, (c) outdoor advertising, (d) exhibition material and (e) research.

Mr. Eggar

A total of £820,000 was spent on press advertising on the action for jobs campaign in 1987–88; £194,000 was spent on radio advertising; £1,380,000 was spent on outdoor advertising; £500,000 on exhibition material; and £6,000 on research.
