§ Mr. John PattenMy right hon. and learned Friend has no such plans at present. As part of the Training Agency standards programme, representatives from the security industry and users of security industry services are working together to develop training standards and related national vocational qualifications. In addition, the British Standards Institute is developing a British standard 173W code of practice for the operation and management of manned security services, which will include and specify requirements for the training of staff.
