§ Mr. NichollsNo. By virtue of the Health and Safety (Training for Employment) Regulations 1988, participants on employment training and similar training schemes at employers' premises are covered by the full range of statutory health, safety and welfare provisions which apply to employed people. Accordingly, when Health and Safety Executive inspectors are examining conditions at workplaces, they do not differentiate between trainees and employees.
