§ Mr. EggarI recently carried out a long-standing engagement to visit Liverpool, to see at first hand the Government's training schemes and initiatives for the long-term unemployed in operation.
I paid a visit to a JIG (job interview guarantee scheme) pilot and was very impressed by the schemes being run by Post Office Counters Ltd.
This was followed by a visit to Monks Ferry Training Trust, a provider of employment training and youth training, where I had discussions with representatives of the local community.
