§ Mr. Archie HamiltonAt present 10 regiments are authorised to keep regimental mascots. The majority of costs associated with mascots are met from non-public regimental funds, with certain veterinary and movement costs being paid for from public funds. Records are not held centrally for these costs, which could be isolated only at disproportionate cost.
