§ Mr. MacleanThe herbicide atrazine is subject to the strict controls on all pesticides introduced in the Food and Environment Protection Act 1985. It is on the Government's red list of substances whose inputs to the aquatic environment must be reduced substantially.
The Advisory Committee on Pesticides is conducting a review of all pesticides registered before 1981, and intends to give atrazine a high priority.
