Mr. JacksonConsistent with Government policy to increase the scope for higher education institutions to respond to the various demands placed on them, it is for the institutions themselves to determine provision for all subject areas, in consultation as necessary with the Universities Funding Council and the Polytechnics and Colleges Funding Council.
