Whether they have any plans to close Strangeways prison: and if not, when undamaged cellular accomodation will be returned to use.

An assessment of the structural damage to the wings at Manchester is being carried out. When this has been completed we shall review the various options for the prison's future. In the meantime, it is not possible to say when cellular accommodation there will be brought back into use.
